My Daily Guide

Accepting things as they are.

It is most difficult to accept the fact that nothing touches us outside the permissive will of God.  Satan may have sent it, however, Satan can only do what God allows him to do.  Such as in the life of Job.  The Apostle Paul expresses it this way.  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.

The last word has reference to Gods purpose, He is working out for our good and His glory. The only way to deal with each situation is to ask God to show you what He wants you to learn from this circumstance He has placed you in.

This type of prayer places the responsibility back on God to show us His will for our lives.  Gods guarantee is to us, There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.  I Cor. 10:13.  If we accept things that come to us regardless of what it is, then we will move on to progress.  If we rebel, as the children of Israel did, then we will have to take another lap around the wilderness until we learn to listen to God.

Remember nothing touches your life outside the permissive will of God.  Even it may have been sent by Satan, God allowed it, not to hurt us, but in the end to teach us a valuable lesson.

Life is not pain free, but Jesus said, Cast your burden upon me.  Read
Matthew 11:28-30.
