The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not
overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the
flame kindle upon thee.
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy
cometh in the morning.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange
thing happened unto you:
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be
revealed, ye may he glad also with exceeding joy.
I Peter 4:12, 13
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for
mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of
righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might he glorified.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as
eagles; they shall run, and not he weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any
trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
II Corinthians 1:3, 4
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall he able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38, 39

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I
will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
I Peter 5:6, 7
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord:
neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and
everlasting joy shall he upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and
mourning shall flee away.
