CHRIST IN THE OLD

In Genesis, Christ is "the seed of the woman."

In Exodus, He is "the Lamb of God."

In Leviticus, He is "the High Priest."

In Numbers, He is the "Star out of Jacob."

In Deuteronomy, He is "the prophet like unto Moses."

In Joshua, He is "Captain of the host of the Lord."

In Judges, He is the "Messenger of Jehovah."

In Ruth, He is "our Kinsman-Redeemer."

In Samuel, He is the Lord and the seed of David.

In Kings and Chronicles, He is "the King of Kings and Lord of Lords."

In Ezra and Nehemiah, He is "Lord of heaven and earth."

In Esther, He is our Mordecai on the throne seeking the wealth of his people.

In Job, He is our risen Redeemer.

In Psalms, He is Son of God.

In Proverbs, He is the "Wisdom of God."

In Ecclesiastes, He is "above the sun."

In the Song of Solomon, He is "the chiefest among ten thousand" and the one "altogether lovely."

In Isaiah, He is "wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities."

In Jeremiah, He is "the Lord our Righteousness."

In Lamentations, He is "the Man of Sorrows."

In Ezekiel, He is the High Priest of God on earth, as in Hebrews He is "our Great High Priest" in the heavens.

In Daniel, He is the Messiah.

In Hosea, He is the risen Son of God.

In Joel, He is Jehovah who pours out His Spirit at the feast of Pentecost.

In Amos, He is the God of Israel.

In Obadiah, He is the Lord in His Kingdom.

In Jonah, He is the risen Prophet.

In Micah, He is the Bethlehemite.

In Nahum, He is the Bringer of good tidings.

In Habakkuk, He "is the Lord in His holy temple."

In Zephaniah, He is the Lord in the midst of Israel.

In Haggai, He is "the Desire of all nations."

In Zechariah, He is "the Lord of glory, Prophet, Priest, and King."

In Malachi, He is "the Sun of Righteousness."

In Matthew He is "the King of Israel."

In Mark He is "the Suffering Servant."

In Luke He is "the Great Physician."

In John He is "the Son of God."

In Acts He is "the Prince of Life."

In Romans He is "the Righteousness of God."

In Corinthians He is "the Wisdom of God."

In Galatians He is "the Grace of God."

In Ephesians He is "the Chief Corner Stone."

In Philipplans He is "the Source of all Joy."

In Colossians He is "the Godhead Incarnate."

In Thessalonians He is "Our Returning Lord."

In Timothy He is "the Head of the Church."

In Titus He is "the Bringer of Salvation."

In Philemon He "answers for our Debt."

In Hebrews He is "Better than Moses and Angels."

In James He is "the Crown of Life."

In Peter He is "the Sufferer for our Sins."

In John He is "our Advocate with the Father."

In Jude He is "our Shelter from Apostasy."

In Revelation He is "the Alpha and Omega."
