0 God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
Now also when I am old and grey-headed, 0 God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.
The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the grey head.
The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.
And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
I Thessalonians 2:19
Why art thou cast down, 0 my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, 0 God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
