For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8, 9
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is Written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above
that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
I Corinthians 10:13
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the
latter and former rain unto the earth.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I
will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I
will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, 0 Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also
with exceeding joy.
